VanGOgh Artsmobile

The CEC Van Gogh Artsmobile brings art into action! The Van GOgh brings the world of art and art activities out into the community and delivers art appreciation to individuals of all ages.

Art instructors Pat Burgess and Vanessa Holcomb work with a variety of age groups, and carefully craft art activities to meet individual needs. For instance, Pat works with teens and has them doing watercolor paintings, mosaic and T-shirt painting. She also enjoys visiting an area nursing home and working with the residents on making jewelry, tote bags, Easter napkin rings and door hangers. Pat really enjoys working with special needs adults and children. Her “kids” enthusiastically look forward to her visits and she keeps special needs adults busy with making bulletin boards, and photo collages. HS special needs students enjoy crafts such as making tote bags, Easter bags and bunnies and other art activities.

Vanessa leads the CEC Summer Art Club where young artists of any age and skill level meet for seven weeks of creative art experiences such as creating 3-D sculptures, tie-dying, and more. She also teaches some very unique classes like, Room Decorating for Kids, and Have Fun with Fiber Arts.
