NEW!!!! A DAY WITH THE PROFESSIONAL ARTIST FOR THE YOUNG ADULT
Learn from artist Terry Hreno! This workshop will be a great afterschool experience for kids ages 10 to 18. Here you will learn arts important subjects such as Technique, Composition and Expression. Start with the basics and work your way up. This class is a series of workshops that you can take one or all three:
PAINTING FOR BLOCKHEADS
During this time you will take something as simple as a square block and turn it into a work of art.

3-Session Workshop For Young Artists from ages 5-12
Young artists will learn classic professional technique in this highly structured art workshop, using professional-level acrylic paint, and creating an original design on stretched canvas. Artists will present their creations at a formal Artist’s Reception at the end of the workshop. All materials are provided, but students must select their canvas prior to class at the CEC Office.

CEC ART CLUB
Join the CEC Art Club and enjoy six weeks of creative art experiences designed for young artists of any age and any skill level. Miss Vanessa will guide you as you have fun creating 3-D sculptures, collage, open art, painting t-shirts.

JEWELRY FOR KIDS
Kids, do you enjoy making your very own distinctive jewelry? Here is your chance to get creative using unique beautiful beads. Design beaded bracelets, create clay pendants and rolled felt beads. Use the beads and your imagination to design your own jewelry. Wear your own jewelry to school and show your friends!

HAVE FUN WITH FIBER ARTS
In this unique class, the group decides what projects to work on! Depending on the collective interests and skill levels of the group, participants will learn weaving, crocheting, knitting, and quilting. They will also practice the techniques of simple stitching and embroidery. Students will make projects to keep or give as gifts

LEGO STRUCTURES
Kids will be encouraged to take on large construction projects utilizing Legos and K-Nex. They will be guided through the process by the instructor and taught the basics of how to construct a stable structure. This is a six weeks class.
